Intactlab and SOCO Sensus started their collaboration with a project at the SOCO Amsterdam Exhibition space in late 2007. The project was called “Redefining the Space” and consisted out of several art pieces including two multi-touch tables. At the time we used shadow tracking as our method of interaction and although this was highly unstable, it gave us the opportunity to keep the table open and the construction transparent.

The tables were designed by furniture designers Bruno & George and were called “Oedipus” and “Jessica”. This first project resulted in the very first version of “The NewsWell” an multi-touch RSS news reader.
