The Touchy Remix is not only a table who looks great, it has a number of features that make it easy to maintain and pretty damage proof. If you acquire something as valuable as an multi-touch table and especially if it is designed as well as the Touchy Remix, you would want it the keep the looks just like they were on day one. This is why we put a strong emphasis on maintainability during development. We immediately imagined the Touchy Remix in all different environments such as; schools and offices, but also bars and restaurants. And thus we wanted to make sure that the Touchy did not only work at it’s best in all those different environments, it should also look it’s best over longer period of time. So we came up with some pretty nifty maintenance features:

• Scratch resistant foil top
  We use a scratch resistant foil top on the table top which makes the table not only resistant to things like car keys and rings, it makes the table top also very easy to clean. In case of damage this top foil can be replaced quite easily. A replacement foil is available for the cost of 90 Euro excluding shipping costs. Scratch resistant foils are not heat resistant.  This issue can easily be solved by use of coasters, place mats or saucers.
• Glass Fiber Shell
  The glass fibre shell is not only very light weight. It is also sturdy and is wrapped around a very strong aluminium chassis. This makes the table perform well even in situations were somebody accidentally bumps into the table. The glass fibre shell provides a very smooth surface which is very simple to clean and maintain.  The only real opening of the table is the air ventilation in and out-takes.  One should always take care with fluids on and around the table regarding these openings.
• Rubber table border
  The table has a rubber ring which secures the anti-scratch foil on top of the touch surface. This also makes sure that people don’t damage the edges of the table when walking by or bumping into them.

We tried our best to supply the most stable system that we would fit with our visions for usability and design. We think we deliver a very stable system for use in a wide variety of situations. Our system can never be 100% vandal proof. Even if we could, by delivering a solid concrete block, we wouldn’t do that. Intactlab and SOCO Sensus share a vision of usability and strong, durable design over “box” solutions. Still we have the opinion that the Touchy Remix is one of the leading solutions when it comes to maintainability.
